Norris Lyons photographing in Svalbard

Behind the camera

My love of photography started at sixteen, when I received my first SLR camera. Life's commitments meant a long hiatus — until 2004, when a Canon EOS 10D rekindled everything.

Today I shoot with a 5D MkII, chasing the most extraordinary animals in Britain and beyond. I've photographed polar bears in the Arctic alongside Andy Rouse, tigers in India, grizzlies in Alaska, and lions on the Masai Mara.

This site is simply a way of sharing the pictures I've been lucky enough to take.
